The Birth of The Holy Light
The Holy Light was born during a time of deep personal transformation.
After my mother’s passing, my spiritual path began to unfold in unexpected ways. I found myself drawn, gently but consistently, toward Mother Mary and Mary Magdalene, and to the sacred symbols that surround them, the Sacred Heart, roses, devotion, compassion, and love. These symbols appeared repeatedly in my life, not as something I sought out, but as something that found me. Around this time, another meaningful synchronicity emerged through a friendship that has played an important role in my spiritual growth. We met by coincidence, and later reconnected in a way that felt deeply purposeful. This connection has continued to teach me, often quietly, through shared conversations, reflection, and lived experience. It helped me recognise that while I once believed I knew a great deal about spirituality, true understanding does not come from knowledge alone. It comes from what we feel, embody, and experience. This realisation marked a significant shift in my journey (thank you Danielle).
Earlier in my life, anything that referenced God or Jesus would have put me off completely. If a book or teaching leaned too heavily into that language, I would often disengage. At that stage of my journey, it simply didn’t resonate. As I’ve grown and matured spiritually, that resistance has softened. I now understand that spiritual language often meets us differently depending on where we are. What once felt limiting now feels expansive. What once felt uncomfortable now feels deeply personal.
During this period of grief and reflection, I felt called to explore the Magdalene Path and Sacred Feminine teachings more deeply, alongside my long-standing interest in ancient Christianity and Catholic spirituality. I have always been curious about comparative religion, and this time was marked by many synchronicities and quiet moments of inner guidance that encouraged me to follow this direction. I documented much of this journey through journaling, which one day may become something I share more openly.
Life rarely unfolds according to the script we imagine. Much of what has happened, and continues to happen, was never part of my plan or the wider picture I thought I understood. Yet through a deeper spiritual connection, I have been given hope, grace, and the humility to adapt, to surrender, and to navigate life as it truly is.
Prayer has become an important anchor for me, particularly the rosary, which offered comfort, grounding, and a sense of companionship during grief. While Catholicism does not cross into magic, I found prayer itself to be far more powerful, not as a way of seeking control or outcomes, but as a way of walking alongside Christ, living by His love, and allowing that love to be shared outwardly. Through this, my relationship with God or Higher Power became something gentle, lived, and deeply personal rather than imposed.
While no single religious framework fully defines me, I hold a deep love for ancient Christianity and Catholicism, alongside great respect for other spiritual traditions. There are teachings I continue to explore and question, and others that resonate through lived experience. What I have found is that reflection, embodiment, and loving action create real change, and that path has worked for me.
The Holy Light was created as a space where spirituality, symbolism, faith, and intuition can exist side by side, gently and respectfully. It is an offering rooted in devotion, compassion, and light, created to support others wherever they are on their own spiritual journey, without pressure, fear, or rigidity.
